Whatever your ability, you’ll feel right at home at Porters. They’ve got gentle runs and easy lifts for beginners and kids, long cruising runs for the intermediates and super challenging terrain for advanced skiers and riders. We have some 285 hectares with 678 vertical meters of winter playground for you to enjoy and explore!
Smylies Tours has daily departures from Christchurch to the Porters Ski Area, our buses and vans leave from:
7:15am Christchurch Central Bus Exchange (Intercity stop )
7:25am Riccarton Rd (Westfield Mall Riccarton Rd carpark )
7:30 am Church Corner (Countdown bus stop)
7:35 am Yaldhurst Road (just past the Z on the left, facing the mountains)
and optional through Darfield for pre booked customers. 8:05 am opposite Gnomes
8:30 am Springfield (Smylies Accommodation)
Hotel / Motel / Backpackers pick up available within the four avenues for $10 extra per person
We endeavour to be at your location on time so please arrive 10 min early so we don't get delayed.
Return from the mountain at 3:45pm with arrival back to Christchurch around 5:30 to 6pm
