Mt Cheeseman

Known for our distinctive fun, friendly vibe, Cheeseman is a club ski field that promotes a fun, family environment in an alpine setting.  It's open to the public, offering great value for money, only 90 minutes’ drive from Christchurch on State Highway 73.  The safe, well-maintained access road allows access right to the T Bar lifts. The mountain has a sunny aspect with groomed runs and off-piste terrain that caters for all abilities.  The two T-bar lifts provide access to the whole mountain with a learners’ rope tow in our dedicated learners’ area. Cheeseman offers; ski and board instruction, full rental facilities, licensed café and uncrowded, sunny, groomed terrain and challenging off-piste with spectacular views.

Winter 2024 rates

Please read before you book:

• the rate you will be charged is $85* per person for a one way drop off
• your pick up times for morning run start from 6.30 am to 7.45 am and you need to be outside ready for pick up
• if you want to travel after that time then it becomes a charter rate for the van.  See rates below
• we like to avoid running against the traffic for safety reasons so transfers need to comply with our H&S policy
• at times we reserve the right to combine Cheeseman and other clubbie customers with Porters customers.  We drop them off as quickly and courteously as we can before we head to Cheeseman. The bonus side is a great coffee can be had at Porters while you wait.
